Star Mill

The abandoned Star Mill was formerly a hosiery factory that Roebuck Buildings converted into new office space for the Spartanburg (SC) Housing Authority. The original 200 year old frame was repaired in some areas and replaced with structural steel where the timber could not be salvaged. Repairs were made to the brick exterior walls which were up to 17″ thick, and the interior was renovated to create office space.
